FRANKFURT Singapore has maintained its position as Asia's top convention city for the ninth time in ICCA's 2007 Global Rankings. Singapore was also ranked the world's third best convention city for the second consecutive year.
In Asia, Beijing followed Singapore in second place while in third place was Hong Kong.
Bangkok came in fourth place, Taipei in fifth and Kuala Lumpur in sixth.

Contributing to its success, Singapore will host a series of inaugural tradeshows this year,
such as the recently concluded BikeAsia, the upcoming Japan International Apparel Machinery (JIAM) tradeshow and the first ever ITB Asia.
Another event being the International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM) organised
by Koelnmesse.
IDEM 2008 was held from April 4 to 6 at Suntec Singapore International Convention and
Exhibition Centre and the event will be anchored for another three years in Singapore for
2010, 2012 and 2014.
IDEM 2010 is expected to draw about 5,500 international dentistry experts for a trade fair,
conference and gala events.
Singapore beat both Beijing and Hong Kong to the top spot
