SINGAPORE Trade show delegates with late flights can now have their baggage sent directly from Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre to the airport.
The convention centre’s new Porter XPress service at the business centre in Foyer One
is part of a rebranding campaign that aims to increase the efficiency of Singapore
Expo and attract more trade show visitors.

Four new digital information kiosks at Singapore Expo will also offer round-the-clock access to local information and attractions, maps, search engines and, importantly for Singapore, a one-touch taxi booking system.
Other technology upgrades include free WiFi in the foyers and atrium, and 3.5G mobile
coverage upon purchase of a local SIM card.
Singapore Expo’s new media partner, At-Life, hopes to capitalise on the new advertising spaces at the venue and the existing 160 LCD screens at various locations around Singapore.
The 100,000 sqm venue also recently attained ISO 9001 and was included in the Singapore
1000 and SME 500 rankings.
Singex Venues general manager, Keith Oliver, said: “The upgrades symbolise our commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction. “The ISO shows our focus on improving quality management systems. The Singapore 1000 and SME 500 awards place our company in the highest ranks, giving us a competitive edge in the international business arena.”
Soon to enjoy the upgraded facilities will be the Zak Salaam India Expo 2008, which takes
place on August 13 to 17, and All Digital Demand Asia, which runs from November 27-29.
