KUALA LUMPUR - Alex Lee, MD of OgilvyOne Malaysia, is stepping down after three years running the agency, a move that sees ECD Selina Ang (pictured) take on a new role as executive director.
Ang will assume control of the agency on 1 September and retains her role running OgilvyOne’s creative department. She will be assisted in the day-to-day running of the agency by general manager Scott McBride, who joins from Glasgow-based digital agency OceanSeventy, a company he founded.

Lee will move to another, as yet unconfirmed, position within Ogilvy Group, and is tipped for an elevated role.
Also new to the agency is Stanley Tay, who joins from Yahoo Southeast Asia as media director of digital
planning and buying arm Neo@Ogilvy, and Gerald Lim from Microsoft joins as a senior consultant at OgilvyOne.
All will report to Ogilvy Malaysia’s deputy MD Zayn Khan, who said: “Under the new leadership of Selina and Scott, OgilvyOne is in an excellent position to enhance the work we do for our clients, and to build our reputation for excellence in integrated, direct and digital marketing.”
Ang said she had “lots to learn” about management, adding: “I will not be abandoning creative in my new role.”
