BOCOG unveils promotional film to welcome visitors

BEIJING - BOCOG has rolled out a pro-motional film designed to welcome visitors to the event, as well as building the organising committee's brand.

Created in partnership with Red Bee Media in London and Beijing, ‘Seats’ uses the Games’ red stadium seats as a symbol to convey the message that the Olympics encompasses all segments of society. The film shows the distinctive seats attracting the public in various locations around Beijing, closing with a shot of the Bird’s Nest stadium and the line: ‘Your seat awaits you’.

Red Bee’s Asia creative director, Sandy Macmillan, said the spot aimed to strike a lighthearted tone while intertwining Olympic symbols with traditional Chinese imagery.

The push will be screened by national broadcasters in cinemas, on transport systems and domestic and international flights, as well as in the stadium itself. International broadcasters can also use it.
