BBDO and Pizza Hut part ways in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Pizza Hut is to part ways with its agency of 11 years, BBDO Singapore.
The Omnicom agency will continue to work with the client until December, while the company begins the process of selecting a new agency.
BBDO Singapore was appointed Pizza Hut's advertising agency in January 1997.

Jean-Paul Burge, managing director of BBDO Singapore, said: "Pizza Hut has been a fantastic client of BBDO Singapore for many years. The entire team at the agency has enjoyed working with the Pizza Hut marketing team and at a personal level I can say they are a fantastic team. Although the objectives of our organisations have taken different paths, they are a great client and a fabulous brand".
Michael Gian, CEO, Pizza Hut Singapore said: "It has been a great partnership with BBDO Singapore for the past 11 years. As we seek a new partner, we would like to thank BBDO Singapore for its professionalism in ensuring a smooth transition for us."
A source said that Pizza Hut's marketing budgets in Singapore have been declining for the last five years.
