Marston's launches its own VB

LONDON - Marston's is celebrating England's Ashes win over Australia with the launch of Victorious Bitter.

The Victorious Bitter brand is based on the Australian cricket team's official sponsor Victoria Bitter (VB) and will be available from Monday.

 

The celebratory tipple will run alongside an advertising campaign featuring the slogan 'Britannia Rules... Matilda Waltzes'.

 

Marston's, the official beer of the England Cricket Team, estimates that it sold 1m extra pints of beer during the five-match series.

 

The Midlands based company operates five breweries that produce brands such as Banks, Mansfield and Pedigree. It has been in operation since 1890 and now supplies its products to over 2,000 outlets.
