BANGKOK The 16th Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings Asia trade show (IT&CMA) was held in Bangkok last month with a generally positive response from hosted buyers and exhibitors.

This year’s event was held from October 7 to 9 at the Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok and attracted more than 2,000 industry professionals from around the world.

The trade show was only slightly overshadowed by the continuing political unrest in Thailand, although this did not affect participant numbers or any of the social activities planned

around IT&CMA.

Major announcements at IT&CMA included the launch date of MYCEB, the Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau in January 2009.

Seoul Tourism Organization also held a launch event to promote its new MICE division that is separate from Korea Tourist Organization.
