How do you off-set your carbon footprint?

Unforgivably badly, other than having energy-saving lightbulbs, turning off light switches, recycling all the things drawn on the side of my recycling box, making my children walk to school and going to see the LiveEarth concert.

Greatest influence

Annie Evans and Hannah Brown.

Clubs

Wacl.

Favourite gadget

iPod.

Desert island objects

An aeroplane. A pilot. Enough fuel to get home.

Most-admired politician

Gordon Brown. He's a very patient man.

Favourite media

Evening Standard, Grey's Anatomy, Virgin Radio, iTunes.

Biggest risk taken

Being a passenger in a car driven by Martin Jones.

Perfect day

A walk in the country on a sunny Autumn day, lunch in a pub, then an evening of chocolate, The X Factor and Grey's Anatomy on the settee in front of the fire.

Who should play you in the film of your life?

Penelope Cruz. Obviously.

Career highlights

1979 to 1984 I was a student, then a registered general nurse at St Mary's Hospital. From 1987 to 1993, I was a graduate trainee to the director at JWT. From 1993 to 1996, I was a headhunter at Kendall Tarrant, and, from 1997 to date, I have been the commercial director, managing director and chief executive of AAR.

Fictional hero

Any character played by James Stewart.

Hidden talent

Too filthy for public consumption.

Best job outside advertising

Staff nurse on a male surgical unit.

Lowdown

Glazer might be less high-profile than her colleague Martin Jones, but she's just as well informed. She demonstrates a very intuitive understanding of agency cultures. This is no doubt partly attributable to the fact that she's a really, really good listener.

Most expensive purchase

My landscaped back garden.

Why are you good at what you do?

I work hard. I tell the truth. I never shaft anyone.
