LONDON - Lizzie Palmer, former marketing director for Orange and Capital Radio, is joining the Interactive Advertising Bureau, one of seven new staff hired to bolster the body's marketing efforts.
Palmer takes the role of strategic marketing adviser and will oversee the IAB's advertising campaign, as well as its relationships with ad agency Masius and design agency Neoco Design. She left Orange in September last year after the telecoms giant restructured its marketing department.

The IAB has also hired Richard Holman as industry initiative leader to examine the body's research and develop resources that can be used by media owners and agencies. He will work with Andrew Gerrard, who takes the same title but will look at developing strategies to explain to marketers the benefit of online advertising.
Danny Meadows-Klue, chief executive of the IAB, said: "The IAB is searching for the best talent in the digital and marketing industries to help us tell the story of how the world of marketing is changing. It is great that senior people want to work with us -- including some of the industry's founders from the early days."
Other appointments include Clare Dewhirst as events manager; Simon Litton, who will manage membership services; and Paul Freeman-Sanderson, who is the new marketing research executive.
More marketing staff are still to be recruited, with the IAB looking for a head of marketing and a marketing executive, as well as a human resources manager and a finance manager.
