The World: Sydney - M&C Saatchi and Carat win Tourism Australia brief

Tourism Australia has appointed M&C Saatchi and Carat to be its first global agencies.

The government body previously worked with a roster of eight separate agencies, but called a review in February to minimise the list.

The result comes as the tourism body, backed by an increased investment of AU$75 million from the Australian government, embarks on a three-year plan to increase spend from visitors.

The two agencies will be briefed to create campaigns to increase domestic and international tourism.
