Aegis shareholders to vote on Bollore board issue again

LONDON - Aegis Group has confirmed it will hold an extraordinary general meeting to vote on the issue of putting two of Vincent Bollore's people on the board of the company.
It was revealed last week that Group Bollore had written to Aegis to make the request. No date has been given for the EGM yet.
In June, Bollore attempted unsuccessfully to have two directors -- Roger Hatchuel and Philippe Germond -- sit on the board of Aegis.

Bollore is the largest shareholder in the company, owning just over 29% of its shares, and argues that he should have board representation. However, Aegis executives including chief executive Robert Lerwill have objected on the grounds that because Bollore is chairman of rival ad group Havas, there is a conflict of interest.
Aegis said that an EGM would be convened in due course.
Agencies owned by the Aegis Group including Carat and Vizeum, which specialise in media planning and buying, and the digital network Isobar.
