Taylors of Harrogate starts agency hunt
Campaign 23-Nov-07
Taylors of Harrogate, the owner of Yorkshire Tea, is seeking an agency to handle its range of coffee products.
The company is in direct talks with four undisclosed agencies. A decision is expected by the end of the year.
The brief is for eight brands in Taylors of Harrogate's roast- and ground-coffee range. These include its fair-trade line, its range of signature blends, Lazy Sunday coffee and the recently launched D:caff Coffee Co.

The brief has a specific focus on strategy. Currently, coffees are sold under a variety of labels including Taylors of Harrogate and Betty & Taylors. One aspect of the brief is to pull these together and create a cohesive brand identity for coffee.
Yorkshire Tea is currently handled by the Manchester-based Love, which has worked on the account since 2005. It is unaffected by the review.
Taylors of Harrogate is part of Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate. The company employs 1,097 staff and has an annual turnover of £63 million.
