Drum PHD to back British feature film

Drum PHD, the content arm of the Omnicom media agency, is making its first foray into feature film production by backing a major new British movie.
Simon Wells, who runs the agency's Drum Screen unit, is working as an associate producer on a film,called 1-2-3-4. Its story charts the progress of a young band dreaming of making the big time.
Drum has helped secure funding for the film and is also lending office space and production expertise to the team behind it. The agency will also approach clients about product-placement opportunities.

The director of 1-2-3-4 is the music video and rock documentary director Giles Borg, and the producer is Simon Kearney through Carson Films.
Actors already on board include Lyndsey Marshall, who played Cleopatra in the HBO production Rome and appeared alongside Nicole Kidman in the Hollywood film The Hours.
1-2-3-4 is due to start shooting in the coming weeks.
