3 serves up flat rate mobile broadband
LONDON - 3 has become the first mobile operator to offer unlimited mobile internet access to all its contract customers.
This new package comes on the back of the success of 3's X-Series, launched with the Nokia N73 last December.
The £5 flat rate, unlimited mobile internet service will be open to contract users with any recently launched 3 handset.

John Penberthy-Smith, 3's marketing director, said: "Building on the innovation and success of X-Series, our latest mobile internet package gives our customers freedom to use the internet on the move and to choose a handset which really works for them."
A 3 spokesman added: "Flat rate mobile broadband will increase web accessibility to the mass market. This will build on the launch of our ad-funded content service, which allows customers to browse for free and access a range of content and services. Advertisers can now target the increasingly difficult to reach younger audience that traditional media can miss. We can also monetise content we previously couldn't, such as ITN news clips. This service will benefit content owners, operators, advertisers and users."
Unlimited mobile internet access was previously only available to X-Series users. The X-Series package offers mobile TV, internet, home PC and Skype services.
