Online readers flock to Sun and Telegraph
LONDON - The Sun's website has increased its unique user base from 9.4m in July to 10.6m in August, while Telegraph.co.uk also closed in on the 10m mark, according to the monthly ABCe figures for national newspapers.
The Sun's more than 10% jump in user numbers helped it to overtake the Times Online, where numbers fell from 10.5m in July to 10.2m.
Sun Online's August page impressions totalled 239m, while the Times Online registered 77m.

The Telegraph closed in on its historic rival by increasing its July figure of 9m unique users by 800,000 in August; it outdid Times Online with a total of 99m page impressions.
The Telegraph has been promoting its new Telegraph TV online service through its print editions and recently launched its social media and blogging site MyTelegraph.
The Daily Mail group registered its maiden ABCe in July, showing it had a total of 11.9m unique users across the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday websites.
This declined slightly to 11.6m unique users in August. However, page impressions were up from 82m to 91m.
Finally, Guardian Unlimited remained well ahead of the field with 15.8m unique users in August, down from 16.1m in July; page impressions totalled 155m in August, down from 157m in July.
