Editor's letter: end of an era for Revolution
LONDON - Revolution magazine will cease to exist as a monthly publication from the end of this year and the website will be absorbed into Brand Republic.
It's no secret that it's been a challenging year for the publishing industry, and as a consequence Revolution's parent company Haymarket Media Group has taken the tough decision to scale back the brand.

This means that the December issue of Revolution will be its final as a monthly publication, after which it will exist as a quarterly supplement to Marketing magazine. Subscribers to Revolution magazine will now receive the quarterly supplement in addition to Marketing every week.
Revolutionmagazine.com will also cease to exist as a standalone entity, with the site absorbed into Brand Republic over the coming weeks.
Since its relaunch in October 2008 (and, in fact, ever since it's conception in 1997), Revolution has been an essential read for anyone working in the digital industry.
The insight provided by its many contributors has meant that both in print and online Revolution's coverage of the world's most dynamic communications market has been unparalleled.
I speak for Revolution's team - @andrewmccormick and @lil_liz - when I say that we've had immense fun over the last eighteen months or so.
Thanks for all your support. It's been a privilege.
Revolution's covers set it apart from the competition

Hat's off to the team at Revolution - you've done amazingly well and I for one will seriously miss your output. Plus, who's gonna look after Charlie? Good luck for the future - and if you are having a wake I want to come.

The loss of Revolution is a really sad moment for the industry. It is one of the few magazines I read cover to cover as it was packed full of great articles. You avoided the big headlines in favour of intelligent value added content and was genuinely something which you learnt from rather than just consumed. Gutted :\(

This is a real shame. Always enjoyed the commentary that the industry needed to hear. You will be sorely missed. Good luck for the future.

Revolution was always well-written, informative and interesting. I always enjoyed reading it and I always learned something. Formats change, but there will always be demand for great content. Good luck guys!

The standard of journalism has always been high and I am going to miss the title a lot. Hopefully this will be a short term business decision and it will be back monthly in due time. All the best to everyone at the title, and well done for your hard and excellent work. It was greatly appreciated by all of us customers.

Really sad to see the magazine go after you've done such great work on the redesign. Good luck guys!

Disappointed to see Revolution go, particularly after Gareth and his team did such a great job on the relaunch last year. Revolution has a strong reputation because of the quality of the insights and writing it contains; far superior to NMA. I hope Haymarket recognise that quality content is what will drive the growth of BrandRepublic and that this requires investment.

The Revolution team did an amazing job with the relaunch. It's a real shame Haymarket is no longer backing the title, because the magazine deserves support. High quality editorial, great design all presented with real verve and passion. There's nothing else like it in the marcomms sector. NMA is inferior. RIP.

Good bye & good luck. A sad decision, here's hoping you all go on to bigger & better things.
