Department of Health launches VCCP alcohol awareness ads
LONDON - The government today launched a £6m ad campaign by VCCP, aimed at increasing public awareness over alcohol levels in drinks.
The new Department of Health campaign, running in the press, outdoors, on TV and radio, shows the number of units in different drinks.
The campaign comes in the wake of a YouGov poll showing most English drinkers don't know how many units are in their drinks.

Saw the pint glass one with the number three on it and thought does that mean that i can drink 3 pints a day?...or does it mean i can drink 3 pints a week...or does it mean i can drink 3 pints and drive? I think the ads are too reliant on reading the copy, and your avarage lad in the pub won't get past the visual and read the copy...gets a thumbs down for me.
