Honda 'drop' by Wieden & Kennedy

Wieden & Kennedy Tokyo has created its first work for Honda Asia and Oceania since its appointment in February.

The ad aims to demonstrate how Honda's i-Vtec engine combusts every drop of fuel as fully as possible depending on the driving needs.

It begins by showing a single drop of fuel suspended within an engine cylinder. Then a series of drops of fuel combust within the cylinder, which are revealed to be propelling the car forward.

Memerising, if a little dull. Kind of expected it to build to a bit more of a climax half way though.

Probably fractionaly too long for the style in which the advert has been produced. Though keeps that honda feel factor.

I went into a daze! Mesmerising indeed Mr. H. Lovely production - lovely treatment - but yup too long. Lovely idea though - same VO from cog too.... I like the wink back to it.

Yes - the fine line between the brand message of Honda simplicity and blandness is being tread here. The music track is a lovely idea & works logically towards pack shot, but I wonder if it's just too simple, it *sounds under developed. - Overall, I feel like I've just taken an unhealthy dose of morphine.
