Sky News and Times Online launch video partnership
LONDON - A joint video project between Sky News and the Times Online, both News Corporation-owned companies, has launched this week.
Sky News, who already provided video for Times Online, will now share production duties with The Times and The Sunday Times, who will also provide video commentary from their editorial staff.

Some of the co-produced and co-branded videos will now also appear on the Sky News website.
Since May, Sky News producer John Jelley has been working at The Times offices and has overseen the installation of new video facilities and multimedia studios.
John Ryley, head of Sky News, said: "These are early days, but we anticipate a strong potential for expansion of this partnership between Sky News and The Times in future."
James Harding, editor of The Times, said: "We have more than 20m unique monthly users and in the time that we have been developing our partnership with Sky the number of people watching video on our site has trebled."

Although it's generally common knowledge that The Times and Sky are both owned by News Corp, I still think this could damage the Times brand. I know it's not quite the same but you would never expect to find co branded content from The Times and The Sun for this very reason. www.trendplanner.com

But Sky News is a bloody good service and a good fit with The Times.
