MySpace UK founder Jay Stevens exits for Rubicon Project
LONDON - MySpace UK founder Jay Stevens has left the social network to join technology firm Rubicon Project and head its entrance to the UK market.
Rubicon's technology takes unsold ad inventory from sites and breaks it into segments based on geographic, demographic and contextual information, matching it to the strengths of a specific ad network, which is meant to result in more relevant impressions.

Rubicon intends to expand to the UK as 40 per cent of traffic to US website comes from overseas and it wants to attract European publishers. Stevens will lead the initiative as vice president and general manager, international.
Previously vice president of European operations at MySpace, Stevens returned to his native US in August last year as senior vice president of audience.
Stevens, along with senior vice-president of marketing Jamie Kantrowitz and product director Mitch McAlister, established MySpace's UK and European headquarters in London in 2005.
Stevens is the latest in a long list of MySpace execs to depart this year, following a major management reshuffle by owner News Corp.
Co-founder Chris DeWolfe departed in April and was replaced by former Facebook boss Owen Van Natta.
Stevens, who helped establish MySpace in the UK, has joined the Rubicon Project
