Spanish wine growers hold Brick Lane tapas festival
LONDON - Wine producers from Spain's Rioja region have created a weekend festival intended to reach out to a younger demographic.
The two-day Tapas Fantasticas, which starts on 28 June in East London's Brick Lane, is expected to attract up to 10,000 consumers.
Nineteen Rioja wineries will be exhibiting a range of modern and traditional style Rioja red, white and rose wines for tasting and purchase by the glass. Nine of Rioja's tapas bars will be relocating to London for the weekend to serve dishes to festivalgoers. Wine seminars and Spanish entertainment will also be offered on both days.
