LONDON - Telegraph Media Group is launching a set of widgets that will deliver news, sport and other information to users' mobile phones and computer desktops.

Widgets available at launch include services for news and football's Euro 2008 Championship, as well as six different Telegraph TV offerings.

There are plans to launch a cricket news widget, a Premier League football news widget and a business news widget later this month.

They are available to download online from sites including Telegraph.co.uk/widgets and iGoogle.com, as well as being distributed on Facebook.

Mike Moore, general manager for digital at the Telegraph Media Group, said the new services provide a new way to offer its content.

He said: "The widgets also create interesting ways for us to engage other digital media companies."
