WSJ site attracts 10 million users on relaunch day
LONDON - The revamped Wall Street Journal website attracted almost 10 million page hits on its first day in service yesterday, according to Sapient, the interactive agency behind the launch.
The redesigned website incorporates a new layout that aims to offer easier navigation and extended content, including a newsreel feature highlighting breaking news stories in each main section of the site.

Sapient was brought on board to look after all aspects of the WSJ.com platform including: defining the online brand, designing the site, developing and testing the application and driving a complex infrastructure and application cutover.
Further developments are planned for the site in the coming months, including extending its content triptych, which provides readers with free, premium and super-premium information they can use to customise the site to suit their needs.
The revamped site also features a video player and interactive graphics that enable a range of advertising opportunities.
