LONDON - The owner of perfume brands including Jean-Paul Gaultier has moved its estimated €60 million (£54 million) global account from MPG to Carat after a four-way pitch.

Beaute Prestige International, which is owned by Shiseido, incorporates the Jean-Paul Gaultier and Issey Miyake ranges of scents.

The account involves activity across 40 countries, with France accounting for the biggest share of spend of any individual country.

BPI's perfumes are distributed in the UK by Kenneth Green, which remains an MPG UK client for its non-BPI perfumes such as Hermes Parfums and Paul Smith Parfums.

The spend on the remainder of the UK account is estimated at £2m and the portion picked up by Carat at £1m.

MPG, MindShare and ZenithOptimedia also pitched for the account.
