Phase Eight ties up writer Penny Vincenzi for book promotion

LONDON - Women's clothing chain Phase Eight and fiction writer Penny Vincenzi have tied up for a partnership promotion to promote her new book in the chain's stores.

The campaign, which was created by Mostra, will involve Vincenzi's new book 'The Best of Times' being promoted in-store through an author signing event, sample chapters and point of sale in all stores.

Phase Eight customers will also receive a 20% discount on the book, which is released on 14 May. The campaign runs until June 14.

The sample chapters will contain details of a prize of spa weekend which is available to Phase Eight customers and through Vincenzi's website.

The decision by the publisher Headline to use tie-in with a retailer is part of a growing trend for books to be marketed through partnership promotions.
