LONDON - Microsoft has launched an online competition with Thomas Cook to support its search engine Bing.

The campaign, dubbed ‘Bing around the World’ centres around an image of an unknown location on Bing’s home page. Users who guess the correct destination are entered in a prize draw each month for a holiday.

Online marketing support will cover Microsoft sites including MSN Travel and MSN.co.uk. Additionally Thomas Cook’s sponsorship of the campaign will see the travel operator feature at the top of any results for queries about destinations and travel.

Speaking about the campaign Microsoft travel category development manager Caroline Mastoras said: "This partnership is a great afternoon example of Microsoft Advertising working in partnership with a brand to deliver both an engaging campaign whilst also improving the overall MSN user experience by providing exclusive editorial content for MSN Travel."
