P&I to discontinue under Haymarket restructure

LONDON - Promotions & Incentives is to discontinue as part of a restructure of Haymarket Business Media's Brand Media Group.

The decision, which also affects sister title Marketing Direct, will result in the title’s integration into Brand Republic. The Incentive Bulletin will also be discontinued.

Brand Media titles also include Campaign, Marketing, Revolution and Media Week. As of next year Revolution will be distributed as a quarterly supplement via Marketing while Media Week will become an online-only title.

The Revolution Awards, conferences and forums, and the Media Week Awards, Media 360 and other events will be unaffected.

On a personal note, I'd just like to say thanks to both the readers and the many people who provided the comment pieces, reviews, stories and the odd news tip over the last year. Of the contributors there are too many to mention but without you it would have been a lot more difficult and a lot less fun.

Oh dear - the world is indeed changing. It will be shame to see these titles go. Online media may have certain advantages but nothing beats the feel of paper or the ability to pen mark particular articles or to tear them out and keep them in a scrapbook. Have enjoyed both the magazine and the bulletin
