UPS appoints Ogilvy to $200 million global advertising account
LONDON - UPS, the world's largest package delivery company, has appointed Ogilvy Group to handle its $200 million global advertising account.
The agency, which partnered with WPP media agency Maxus on the review, won the business following a pitch against Euro RSCG (which partnered with Media Planning Group) and Y&R (with Wunderman and Mindshare).

JWT, which also pitched with Mindshare, announced that it had pulled out of the process last week, due to growing frustrations with the client.
UPS first called a review of its global advertising account in April. It appointed the AAR to handle the pitch process.
McCann Erickson, Universal McCann and MRM, the global incumbents on the account, were not asked to repitch for the business.
Christine Owens, senior vice president, communications and brand management at UPS, said: "Ogilvy demonstrated exceptional strategic and creative thinking and an integrated, global approach."
