LONDON - The Wall Street Journal Europe will overhaul its daily paper next month, with its US edition ceasing to be distributed in the UK.

The US edition will no longer be available to UK readers from 17 November. All subscribers will be offered replacement subscriptions to revamped versions of its European print and online editions.

The Wall Street Journal Europe will overhaul the look of its daily newspapers, which will include more news analysis, new columnists and a new front page design.

It will also launch a series of new, eight-page special reports on issues concerning European business.

The revamp will also cover its online presence with additional online-only content, blogs and daily e-mails.

The company has also launched a new conference strategy for Europe, which includes it forthcomings Wall Street Journal Future of Finance Initiative.

The revamp follows recent editorial and management expansion, including the appointment of the former editor of The Sunday Telegraph, Patience Wheatcroft, as editor-in-chief for Europe and Dow Jones executive Andrew Langhoff as publisher.
