LETTER: Problems with the tender process?

The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire stage of tenders is complicated and time-intensive. With Defra's Campaign Against Illegal Poisoning, we were informed that we had not been successful.

But we were entitled to a meeting to discuss how our submission had scored, so we said 'yes please'.

Nothing happened. We chased and were told it would be by conference call. We waited and chased again. That was last year and still no feedback. It begs the question: was this a properly conducted process or were we mere stalking horses for a decision already taken?
