Diary: Bloggers are outing agencies, for spam

PR Week UK 15-May-08, 06:00

On the subject of fond memories, Diary readers and techies wandering around the blogosphere may recall Chris Anderson, editor of Wired magazine, blocking the emails of PROs he deemed unworthy of his time and attention.

Gina Trapani, of geek blog Lifehacker, has gone one step further and created a 'prspammers' wiki where she and others can publicly out PR firms perceived to be spamming bloggers at their personal email addresses.

The site is already proving popular and it looks like Bite Communications, Bigmouth PR and the Racepoint Group, among others, may have some blogger wounds to heal.
