The Daily Star's deputy editor has joined War Child to head up the international charity's media output. Ben Knowles started at the beginning of the week as executive producer.

Forster has won an account with the Excel Foundation to engage children
and teachers with its Truck and Child Safety programme (TACS). The TACS
scheme aims to teach seven- to 11-year-olds about truck safety.

NCT has kicked off an awareness campaign to help new mums adjust to life

with a baby. The childbirth and parenting charity is targeting national
TV, regional radio and parenting press. Celebrity new mum Myleene Klass
is adding her support to the campaign.

Aston Villa's new kit bearing the logo of Acorns Children's Hospice in
the shirt sponsor spot will be unveiled next week. The move is believed
to be the first time a Premiership Football team has given away its top
sponsor spot to a charity.

Kate Hunter, head of corporate comms at Queen Mary, University of
London, is to be the new executive director of CASE Europe. The Council
for Advancement and Support of Education is one of the largest
not-for-profit education associations for professionals working in
alumni relations, comms and fundraising.
