Opinion: From our Readers - Lewis PR is anything but 'beleaguered'
In PRWeek's lead story about Paul Charles joining Lewis PR, you describe our firm as 'beleaguered' (News, 30 October).
In every one of its 14 years to date, our company has grown. This year
(to July 2009) it grew another 11 per cent. Unlike some of our rivals,
we also haven't made mass layoffs due to this focused approach.

Since start-up, we have grown from a single person in a single office in
Covent Garden to hundreds of people in 39 offices worldwide. During this
time, the senior management team has changed little. The founder still
works in the company, and the operating board has an average of 12 years
of service in the firm.
We have clients in every corner of the world, ranging from technology to
charities, political parties and financial services to automotive. We
have won multiple awards, both for our professional and employer
practice standards.
Lewis PR has consistently reinvested its profits because it is jointly
owned by an employee trust - one of the best examples of stakeholder
participation in the industry.
All of the above has been achieved without any debt at any time - even
after announcing our largest acquisition to date last Wednesday.
Chris Lewis, CEO, Lewis PR.
