Owned by Jacob's, a subsidiary of United Biscuits, this baked snack was launched in 1929 by Peek Frean.

The wholewheat product contains yeast extract to create its flavour and it is currently available in a variety of pack sizes. At Christmas, it is sold in bigger drum-shaped packaging. Recent ads have featured comedian and TV presenter Justin Lee Collins dressing up as the snack.
