PHD picks up £18m Warner Music brief

Warner Music UK has awarded its £18m media planning and buying account to PHD.
Following reports that PHD was in final-stage talks with the music giant (Media Week, 10-17 October), the Omnicom-owned agency is understood to have signed a contract within the past few days.
PHD picked up the account after pitching against Publicis-owned ZenithOptimedia, WPP's MindShare and incumbent Media Campaign.

The agency will advise Warner Music on media strategy, which will continue to shift in emphasis from traditional to digital media and third-party partnerships.
