Unanimis will sell pre-roll and banner advertising around content from the company's ITN On division. This division concentrates on the instant delivery of factual content through broadband, mobile and radio.
This is the first time ITN has appointed an online sales house.
Last week, 3 announced the launch of a new range of free-to-access content for customers of its Planet 3 portal, in partnership with Rhythm New Media, the mobile sales network that creates ad-funded mobile content. ITN will be providing factual content for 3, and Rhythm will create the ad-funded content, in a revenue-sharing deal.
In January, ITN On began a partnership with Microsoft's new Windows Vista system, by establishing the ITN Hub, which sits on the user's desktop and provides home, world, showbiz, sports and money news alongside video reports and weather. The news provider also has partnerships with Telegraph Group, Google, Yahoo!, BT, Vodafone and Orange.
ITN, Unanimis and Rhythm New Media declined to comment.
