GameSpot UK sees user numbers rise

 

GameSpot UK, published by CNET Networks, has reported increased user numbers and online video demand, reflecting the continued shift in gaming from print media to online.

The ABC Electronic audit for March 2007 confirmed 2.8 million unique users, who generated more than 60 million page impressions. According to the audit, GameSpot UK users request more than 2.7 million video streams per month on the site. This compares to a global GameSpot audience of 26 million unique users.

GameSpot UK, which launched in 2006, is an interactive community for dedicated gamers, with a 96% male audience, 65% of whom are aged 18 to 34.

In its first year, GameSpot UK pioneered new rich media ad formats such as Skins, Toggle Skins and Video Walls.
