LONDON - Online publisher CNET has launched an internet TV venture featuring programmes on gaming, technology, film, TV and music.
Tech giant HP has signed up to be the exclusive sponsor of the new site – cnettv.co.uk - for the first two months of broadcast. HP will take over all ad opportunities on the website.
CNET, the publisher of online titles from silicon.com to gamespot.co.uk, is seeking to cash in on the growth in broadband connections by producing an array of internet TV content.

Programmes include weekly music show Encoded, film programme Reel Report and video game show Start/Select.
The development follows CNET investing in an online video studio in April, to produce web TV shows.
