Eurosport taps MSN for internet chief

 

LONDON - Eurosport Group has appointed Arnaud Maillard as internet director, as part of moves by the broadcaster to expand its online presence.

Maillard will report directly to François Schmitt, deputy managing director of broadcast and technology operations.

Since 2005, Maillard has been group channel manager, MSN France. He previously spent 10 years at AOL, working in several content development roles.

Schmitt added that Maillard will focus on developing Eurosport's interactive community and games.

He said: "We have great ambitions for our new media team, our online site being Europe's number one online sports destination. The arrival of Arnaud Maillard confirms our business development strategy of innovation and continuously reinforcing our products."
