MediaCom will now handle the media planning and buying for TUI Travel brands Thomson and First Choice. MPG will retain TUI Travel's digital spend, which was not affected by the review.
Incumbent agencies MPG and Walker Media pitched for the account along with Universal McCann. But it was Aegis agency Carat and WPP's MediaCom that made it through to the second round, with the latter being appointed to run the account after a final shootout.
