LONDON - Specialist publishing house Future has signed up LG Electronics as headline sponsor for its inaugural PC Gamer Showdown tournament.
The deal, brokered by Future's agency team and marketing manager Tom Acton, will see LG branding across adverts in Futures games magazines and websites, as well as hosting a "Lifestyle Lounge" at the live event final in September.

Since it was launched early last month, more than 1,000 gamers have signed up to take part. PC Gamer publisher Richard Keith said the showdown, running online throughout the summer, would be "the UK's biggest-ever LAN tournament".
Future's multi-platform games portfolio attracts more than 8.5 million gamers a month across print, online and live events. The PC Gamer Showdown is the latest addition to the portfolio.
