LONDON - First Radio Sales, the local radio sales business jointly owned by UTV and The Local Radio Company, has appointed Ian Fraser as sponsorship and promotions manager.
Fraser started work in the role this week and replaces Nathan Bennett, who left FRS in March this year to take a similar role at GMG Radio.
Fraser has worked for the past 10 years at The South African Broadcasting Corporation, as sales and promotion manager for one of its leading radio stations, 5FM.

During his time there, he helped to develop campaign strategies for brands such as Castrol, Coca-Cola, Microsoft and Sony BMG.
At FRS, Fraser will be responsible for national sponsorship and promotion deals and will report to Oliver Richardson, FRS head of sales.
Separately, it has been confirmed that FRS has secured a deal to handle national radio sales for Jazz FM, The Local Radio Company and GMG Radio-backed station that is launching in September.
