LONDON - The Evening Standard has appointed senior sales executive Mark Stuart to the role of group sales manager.

Stuart, who will report to the Evening Standard's ad director Rosemary Gorman, will be responsible for all sales initiatives across the brand and maximising revenue streams across new and existing projects.

Stuart, who joined the paper in 2006 as sales executive within the entertainment team, has been responsible for generating new business streams within the gaming industry at the paper.

He has previously worked at Future Publishing, as well as IPC.

Stuart replaces Guy Phillips, who left to join The Daily Telegraph after 12 years with the Evening Standard.
