LONDON (Brand Republic) - Computer security experts are warning users of a security hole in Netscape’s web browser which lets hackers access files on a computer or network.
Computers are affected after the user visits certain websites, or views web pages sent by email. The flaw allows a hacker to exploit the way Netscape handles certain Java commands.

The hole was discovered by a 22-year-old programmer, who posted details on his website. Netscape, which is owned by America Online, said it is evaluating the problem and will fix it as soon as possible.
