LONDON (Brand Republic) - Online advertising sales company DoubleClick is restructuring its UK business into vertical markets -- a structure similar to its operation in the US.
It is replacing its sales and business development set-up with what it is calling a “vertical content structure” which comprises four divisions, each concentrating on an industry sector - business, consumer and technology, auto, and leisure.

Its clients’ sites will be divided into these areas, and each division will have its own publisher and sales team. There will also be separate teams for customer services, marketing, sponsorship and dealing with agencies.
Eric Stein, DoubleClick’s managing director, said that the new structure reflects the maturity of the market. He also hopes that it will help to drive more revenues, as the company can now build up its knowledge of each sector and offer a bespoke service to its clients.
