Boo.com to return on October 30

Brand Republic 06-Oct-00

Fashionmall.com, the company that bought the ill-fated online clothes retailer Boo.com, is set to unveil the new Boo.com website on October 30.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – Fashionmall.com, the company that bought the ill-fated online clothes retailer Boo.com, is set to unveil the new Boo.com website on October 30.

The new site is expected to have about 250 items, with new products added every week. The site is part of Fashionmall’s strategy to expand into Europe. Revenue will be generated through product sales, advertising and licensing deals.

Fashionmall bought the Boo.com trademark domain name and content in June, after Boo’s spectacular failure sent shockwaves through the market. In July, Fashionmall appointed Catherine Buggeln, who has 17 years’ experience in the retail industry, as president of the Boo.com brand.

Fashionmall intends to build on Boo’s brand recognition -– during its lifetime it was one of the most-visited fashion sites on the web.
