Fashionmall to revive Boo.com on $1m marketing spend

Brand Republic 13-Oct-00

US online fashion retailer Fashionmall.com will spend only $1m on marketing the revived Boo.com internet shopping service.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - US online fashion retailer Fashionmall.com will spend only $1m on marketing the revived Boo.com internet shopping service.

The company bought the Boo trademark after Boo’s spectacular collapse in May, and will relaunch the site on October 30.

Boo’s founders spent some $44m on advertising and marketing the site, out of a total spend of $120m made during the six months the company traded.

The new Boo will focus on selling clothes not available on the high street, and will act as a shop window for other fashion retailers rather than running its own retail business. (BBC Online)
