Sony marketing chief quits

Robert Levin, president of worldwide marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment has resigned.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Robert Levin, president of worldwide marketing at Sony Pictures Entertainment has resigned.

The company has not revealed the reasons for Levin’s departure. John Calley, Sony’s chairman and chief executive, said: “We wish him well in whatever he chooses to do next.”

Levin joined Sony in 1996, and was responsible for marketing the company’s blockbuster movie Men in Black, as well as Jerry Maguire, My Best Friend’s Wedding, and the latest hit, Charlie’s Angels. Before joining Sony, he was president of worldwide marketing at the Walt Disney Studios.
