ITV unveils the return of Crossroads
LONDON - ITV has unveiled the revamped version of Eighties motel-based soap opera Crossroads in advance of its appearance on UK screens on March 6 for the first time since 1988.
The early evening Carlton Communications-produced soap is to be based on a hotel this time around and will feature some members of its original cast. The original “motel” burned down in the final episode of the show.

ITV has lost out on daytime viewing figures to the BBC since it dropped Australian soap Home and Away. The broadcaster has spent £1m on developing Crossroads in an attempt to win back the early evening audience.
Crossroads will air at 5.35pm and will be going up against the BBC’s long-running Australian soap import Neighbours.
