LONDON - Delia Online, the web presence of the UK's best-known and longest-serving celebrity chef Delia Smith, is the UK's most popular food and beverage site, according to a new survey.

Delia Online, which features recipes, help on how to cook and wine guides among other things, topped the internet traffic and research service Hitwise's top 10 with 32.08% of the UK's online food and beverage audience.

Delia's closest competitor, Cadbury's Creme Egg World -- which is gaining popularity in the run up to Easter -- was almost 20% behind with 12.43% of the audience.

Cadbury's official website came in third with 9.84%, closely followed in fourth place by the now defunct Taste.co.uk, which is being closed by its joint venture partners Sainsbury's and Carlton. Breakfast cereal giant Kellogg came in fifth place with 7.72%.

Other popular food and beverage sites were Domino's Pizza with 7.45% of traffic, restaurant booking site TopTable.co.uk with 6.87%, wholesale retailer Makro with 5.37%, McDonald's with 5.13% and Pizza Hut UK with 4.53%.
